Default oil filler cap on erst

mine keeps popping of every time i boot it then when i get
to a junction it cuts out,any ideas what would be causing this

sounds like blocked breather pipes buddy cdisconnect and clean them out and it should cure it. i'm sure if i'm wrong some1 will say so

could be breather system or worst case crankcase pessures building cos of tired bottom end

yeh its only just done it today,havnt used the car for a couple of
days and it was fine the last time i used it,i topped the oil up
a little the other day and put a tiny bit to much in so would this cause
the same thing to happen

possibly, u running a standard crank case emissions valve or one of the aftermarket breather systems?

check and clean out the emissions valve that comes off the back of the rocker + the little breather that comes off the bottom of that and go's back to the inlet

ok i will try cleaning it out and then when i get paid i will buy a new one
how much do after market breather systems cost anyway

Shhhhh, you're not meant to say that!!

Note - You can't use a Breather that vents to atmosphere on anything other than a very new engine.

no my tape goes over the top of the cap to stop it coming off! but then my car cost me 100 quid and im building another engine!

the caps off so how would i sort that

Block the pipe where the breather connects to the airbox

EIL meant the metering unit (im sure?) black hose goes to that.

so if i just block the pipe off on the metering head and also block the
pipe on the inlet manifold and just then vent the pipe from the rocker
cover to atmosphere,then just turn the revs up a little and is that it
