Default Best Cosworth REAR brake pad FROM COLD???

Hi all. Just wondered if you can help.

Iv'e done a cosworth rear disc conversion on my mk2 escort, and wondered what peoples opinions where on the best pad that bites from cold?

Not too interested in warm bite tbh.

Have 1144's in there at the mo, but not overly impressed with them and they also squeal like a bitch when off brake (just touching rotors)

cheers!

Factory ford pads but remember a dodgy bracket or worn caliper can cause squeal, my impreza brakes squeal horrid when braking after reversing but quiet as fuck forwards and told its prob caliper alignment

If it was the other way I would reverse everywhere as the noise proper gets your ears and down your spine

sorry forgot to say, brand new mounts, calipers, AND had brand new road pads (pagid) and they didnt squeel one bit.

EVERY car i've ever had 1144's in (front OR rear) squeal bad.

From cold i doubt you could beat a oem pad or even ATE as they contain different compounds that move then heat range up as a result the cold is what you loose as well as noise

Genuine ford pads not motorcraft don't squeal

Dont buy basic pagid pads now mate, they are cheep pads as pagid sold the brand name to eurocarparts so not actually pagid, the race pads Are good though
