Leo looks like he is uninterested in paying more. £200 to resolve the issue is a joke, with the amount the bill is for it to be repaired to the advertised state.

honestly just get as much money back as you can from selling the box or the parts and move on else it will just go on forever, its not worth looseing any sleep over.
i had the same thing happen with my supra bought it assured it was rebuilt well by jdm garage and it was a thrown together failed engine that did 2500 miles and knocked bottom end out to junk ! I lost about £3k breaking it.
the only thing to learn from when this happens is never use the seller again and either in my case check and test better and for parts that are untestable only buy from a trader who you can return to with problems.

its complicated but i have a receipt from jdm garage for head rebuild, assemble and fit back in car. bottom end was "apparantly" farmed out for rebuild which is very convienient considering it was junk.

im long over it though i couldnt give a shit anymore, i trusted him and i shouldnt have done live and learn and all that, i got 3 skylines in place of it now

Even then you dont contact even if you paid £20 a week would be better than making zero contact and communicating through iain, any normal bloke would have AT THE VERY LEAST keep the person they owe the money too in the know whats going on....

It always amazes me when people get caught out by xmas and cant manage their money, I find it fairly easy to predict when xmas is coming up, normally tends to be the tail end of december, around the 25th or so.
