Default Problem fitting Goodridge hoses (pic)

I've gone to flare and form my brakes pipes on my Cosworth and the Goodridge hoses supplied done seem to fit

Am I doing something wrong here?

There not enough threads left for the Brake union. The nuts seem a bit thick, should they not be a shallow type?

Thanks!

I think I'm right mate you don't need the woshers as the nut on the pipe sits in a hole with a nut shape in it have a second look

Yeah I know what you mean, but the fixing on the pipe just spins in the hole and because it's in that nut shaped recess I cant get anything on it to hold in in place to tighten it up.

I've looked at the standard Goddridge hoses with Zinc fittings and they come with a much shallower nut.

Remove the washers and have a half nut either side that fits in the recess.

White one isn't mine, top one is.

The bolts are standard bolts re zinc'd with yellow passivate if that helps.

I'm pretty sure the 2wd bolts are very rare now

Hello John,

Car is coming along nicely, costing a small fortune at the minute and I'm waiting for bits! I've got bits all over the UK waiting to come back

Resto thread is on the Durham site and RSOCBB I've not updated it in a long time though
