my work van is playing up and its really frustrating/

basically, i have a 1.9 dci100 trafic. it starts first time, everytime. but 5 secs afeter starting, the EML comes on, and the van is struggling for power.

have cleaned out the EGR, its had a new crank sensor, new MAF.

i have had on snap on ethos. codes as follows/

inlet air circuit open or short to earth- current
61
preheater circuit faulty or open circuit

any one shed some light??

give me a simple car any day!!

thats my mates place, renault specialist. Knows everything about them. Has diagnostics the lot.

Give him a call, he'll prob tell you over the phone whats the prob! Just say Dunc says hi lol!

I had a similar problem on my Nissan equivalent and it was a wire that was starting to break but every now and then would make a nice contact and run fine.

Check injector wires under the airbox, airbox rubs through them. Also check all wires to ECU, the cover cuts through them too! Finally check the big 70A fuses in the fusebox under the bonnet.
