Changed timing belt now sluggish?
Last week my other half had the timing belt changed on her Focus, it's a 2002 1.6 Zetec. Since having it done she says it's sluggish when travelling slowly. I haven't driven it since but i have been a passenger and it definitely seems to splutter slightly when under load at slow speeds (haven't driven it at speed yet).
Any suggestions as to what it could be? Timing out maybe?

The coil pack isnt on its way out is it??
The crank pulleys on these engines are free floating so if the crank isnt in the right place when its been timed up the timing could be slightly out.

Timing out most likely, who did it?
Reason is these engines have no scribes, nor keyways, so it's very easy to get it wrong, although thats no excuse for a decent mechanic!
It won't be far out, however, else you would have damage, is the engine nosier than before?
Also you want to ensure a new crank pulley bolt was used!

Probably best to just get it back over to them to get them to check the timing and anything else that might be suspect.
Thanks for your suggestions guys, appreciate them .
