Mk6 Project

Just bought a 1.8 gti MK6, gunna be keeping it for a good while, thinking about looking in to carbs and throttle body but just dont know garages who can price it up and do the job!

Anyone got any good garages they have used or know of for mk6 performance, bearing in mind i live in London .. but for a good garage i'll travel??

Do you want carbs or throttle bodies? Different things, both will be expensive though, have a look in a ford mag for specialists in your area

throttle bodies will cost a fortune and you wont see a massive bhp increase...... carbs are cheaper but still wont give a massive bhp increase either unless you have modded other parts of the engine, tbh i wouldnt bother with either, turbo conversion will prob be the best cost effective solution and you will get more power for your money

Throttle bodies and cams would see around 165bhp on the 1800 zetec and 195bhp on the 2ltr
