Default Correct Way to fit reat seats into a van?

I have bought a nice 3 seater bench with intergrated belts to go in the back of my transit, can i just drill holes and get some plates welded on the floor,or is there another way?
I see in mini buses have a long rail that the seats bolt onto.

Cheers Al

Im not sure on your specific transit, but some vans already have strengthening plates in the floor for a second row of seats such as crew conversions etc.

Minibuses are completely different due to much stricter rules for PSV purposes.

i used to work for a seat company doing van - minibus convesions,

bench type seats usually have a long 120 mm X 3mm thick plate that runs the width of the seat on top of the floor pan(this prevents the seat diving forward if there was a crash) drill through the plate and floor pan, secure using 120mm X 80mm X 4mm plates on the underside.

And be prepared to be screwed over by the insurance company when you declare them, most companies require a safety certificate to state that have been fitted correctly!
