Default Engine number...

Hi all,

Need to check my engine number as i'm finally getting round to sorting the V5c out.

Now im sure with the zetec blocks, the engine number is printed on the block, gearbox end right?
Well its near impossible for me to see it without dismantling everything just for a silly number. as the exhaust manifold, breathers, rad hoses everything just has to be in the way

but then i noticed that this had been printed on the cylinder head...

now im sure that must be the engine number, no? as its starts RQB, which im sure is the start for a 1.8 130ps engine

so is this right? as that would make my engine number RQBNR80837?

or is it just NR80837?

and with these Fords, the Engine number is the last half of the VIN isn't it?

sorry for all the questions but i don't have the V5c for this engine as it went to a DVLA approved scrap yard and they needed it to register the car as scrapped.

Thanks,

Ash
