Post Re-spray/ touch up. HELP!

Hey all
I brought my new car and expected a few scrapes and scuffs, but iv noticed a few that I just cant stand and that really ruin the look. I'm contemplating taking a rattle can to touch some parts up. (I'm on a tight budget)
Just thought id ask any advice / instructions on how to go about correctly spraying the car. e.g. technique, masking etc.

I'm very new to the spraying parts and have very little experience. any help?
Much appreciated guys. Thanks.

how big an area are you considering painting ? it is possible to get a half decent result using rattle cans but nothing will beat a proper repair . As with most things its all in the preparation

I want to cover two 4-5 cm2 bumper marks (parking errors) and several minor line scratched where the door has obviously been opened onto the lamppost or something.

The problem i have is very little knowledge of how best to prep , clean and spray, is it all that important for minor scratches...
