Right peeps, need a quick answer if possible? Would normally ask the old man, but he's not in

Anyway.. noticed the fester is running low on oil on sunday, but never got around to topping it up, had a look in the garage this afternoon, and only found oil for my dads motor (diesel vectra).
I don't know all that much about engines etc.. but im pretty sure oil for a deisel won't suit my 1.4 petrol fiesta?

So, if i can't top it up with that oil...

What grade/type etc.... of oil should i get? (summit i can get in a petrol station just now as im planning to top it up tonight)
Not anything fancy or that, just summit that offers a decent level of protection.

Meant to mention, it's an 02 plate, if that makes a difference?

If its a zetec the 5w-30, if not then 5w-40.
