Strange rattleing.

Default Strange rattleing.

When im just sitting there idle, when i start reving the engine i start to get a strange rattle had a few friendswho have pulled series 1's and 2's apart at none of them can say what it is!!
The car is still boosting fine. any ideas???

does the rattle start at about 1200 revs and dissapear at about 1500-1800?

either little end's are starting to show signs of wear, or the lifters are shot.

does it do it when cold or warm?

does at 3000 to 3500 cant.
only when its warm i think dont never rev it or drive it hard until is warmed up properly.

are they big/small jobs or looking towards a new engine

you checked that all heat sheilds are tight - at these revs, resonance thru the exhaust is also possible.

doesnt sound like the exchaust .
i have recently changed the standard rocker cover for a chrome cover and really noticed it since then would this have a made a differance
