Im making my escort into a track car and ive ditched the dash. has anyone got digital clocks? I seen some on ebay that say the speedo is controlled by a magnet! How does that work? Any info on these would be great

 

you put the magnet on to a wheel stud and a sensor counts revolutions

you wanna use a non driven wheel

 

Oh i see. will all the petrol and temp guages work ok

 

what dash is it?

guess they will have their own sensors or read off the ecu maybe

just fitting a dig speedo to mine, but a dash2. Sensors should work ok, may need to add some resistors to get a true reading

I bought a Dash 2 for my track car about a year ago but haven't got round to fitting it! Need to find someone who knows what they are doing lol!

 

apparently the sensor can go on a drive shaft for the speedo

 

mines on my drive shaft, its a hall sensor, just work out the rolling radius of your wheel then add that into your dash, presto.

 

dash 2 looks a nice bit of kit ,how much are they please guys?
