It's a
bloody quick car now mate, the way it carries boost/momentum as you move through the gears is absolutely brilliant.
...however I now really dislike uprated gearkits after listening to one for many,
many hours yesterday.
Cheers,
Grant

The lack of lag through the gears is my favourite bit. It's v impressive. Glad you enjoyed it. Perth to Dundee was a blur
lol@gearbox though

lol hub dyno shows better power graph than any other car dyno, its just people use the wrong correction factors which leads to inflated crank figures. 10% hub to crank, 17% tyre to crank simples

As his spokesman while he was a freeloading non-trader you were a bit shit though
I'll do a cossie write up when I can be arsed. I need to be able to reply before I hit a 10 pager of waffle
Life is rather busy what with the move. I'll do it though.

Karl it's sweet as a nut. It's probbaly only done about 6,000 miles!!!
Can you confirm the head port sizes please? Tony seems to think they are different from your build sheet I have.
Also are the pistons pocketed? Surely they are?

Hi chop,
Yes the pistons have valve cutouts in them. (They are cosworth 7.2:1 items which come with cutouts in them allready)
Head wise, I would imagine they will be 24mm which was my standard for all decent T34 engines with nicely opened up valve throats and valve seats, etc.
It's also got cams in it and i think they are 256 duration with 9mm lift. (It was one of my secert squirrel cams for a while)
Other than that I can't really remember a whole lot else as it was 10 years ago, but it will have used all genuine cosworth parts when things were easily available back then! (e.g. engine bearings, oil pump etc)

Thanks for taking the time to reply mate.
The build sheet says 24.5/26 mm ports but tony said 24/24
LOL@secret squirrel! Understandable!

I have never done 26/24.5mm port heads, but I really can't tell you for certain from that time ago. I would assume it was 24/24, thats what all my decent T34 heads were!
Your engine is actually the perfect engine spec for 450bhp so should go very well with a T38 on it, as its actually got a turbo well suited to the engine spec now!
