Kent AB07 Inlet Cam Questions
Wondered if anyone has experience with this cam.
Was it worth upgrading to?
What kind of spec were/are you running with this am fitted?
Do you need double valve springs?
Wheres best to buy from?
Cheers Billy

the cam was designed by Ahmed bayjoo and is designed to fit in a stock engine ie stock valve train and stock pistons
we have achieved some amazing figures with this cam

Billy,
You can use the cam with non-pocketed pistons and with standard valve springs.

Probably the best way for me to go Rich, as I dont want to touch pistons/rods etc to be honest............... For the time being

It depends if your engine is currently apart or not. If it is then i would get the pistons pocketed now and double valve springs in the head and then you are done.

we only use the abo7 if you haven't got valve pocketed pistons
if you have we have a whole host of other cam options available to us

I used the ab07 briefly, made 471bhp on a T4 at just below 2 bar. Would have made more if we didn't have to abort mapping for various reasons.
As said above, best option to go for with no cut outs.

Do i need to add any more ?
No loss of bottom end power and torque but hangs on so much better top end.
The best cam you can get without having valve pockets (imo)

the stock exhaust cam works well for road cars with tall road gearing and mild spec road engines

What sort of rev range does the cam work at? When does the power tail off?
