speeding info
hello just after some info really was done for speedin yesterday by copper in on his own in a normal focus police car. he got no proof of me sppedin as had no cameras and on his own? and i had a passenger. says he sendin me court for it, can he do that with no evidance as i believe to convict you they need 2 different sources of proof 1 needs be video or radar, thanks
yeah i thought that was a cheeky twatt aswell, basically its his word against me and my mate, plus he was only guessin my speed anyway, i was on dual carriage way suppose be 50 anyway but revised for road works to 30,
If it goes to court the courts will take the coppers Professional (*Cough-bullshit-cough*) opinion and you will be knackered.
A single copper on his own I beleive can do you although it makes things harder for them.

Saddly not mate the coppers proffesional opinion will be ample to see you screwed in court.
I was always under the impression you were innocent untill proven guilty now it seems yiu are guilty until proven innocent and then you get done anyway when it comes to speeding offences

Temporary speed limits.
You should note that exceeding a temporary speed limit is a non-endorsable offence. This means that you can only get a fine, but not have any endorsements (points) applied to your license. Of course, like most things in law, there is an exception, and in this case it's national speed limits (ie. motorways and dual carriageways). If you exceed a temporary limit on a motorway, such as in roadworks, or the controlled-speed section of the M25, then it becomes an endorsable offence, ie. points. This information is in some dispute at the moment, but came from a traffic officer undergoing basic traffic training so I have no reason to believe that it's false.
as it was a temporary limit and its not national speed limit road its usually 50 not 60

yeah, get a solicitor and what ever you do, dont talk to the duty solicitor. I got pulled in my motor, the copper was so frustrated to find that I had all my documents etc and was totally legal
So the jelous t**t gave me a summons for not wearing my seatbelt (which I was wearing). I had a mate in the car also, but that didnt help
They will take the word of the copper mate, even if he his wrong

'Section 89(2) of 1984 Road Traffic Regulation Act requires that a person prosecuted for driving a motor vehicle at a speed exceeding the limit shall not be convicted solely on the evidence of one witness'
This basically requires there to be corroboration. Corroboration can be provided by the equipment in a police vehicle or by Vascar or similar speed measuring equipment. Alternatively two police officers may provide sufficient evidence in a case of speeding. However, it is important to show that both officers saw the same vehicle at exactly the same time.
I.e You can relax, you are safe mate. Sounds like he was just winding you up - probably because you were gobby.
