Default Fox body Mustang, rear wheel stud?? Where from??

As title, I need an American Ford guru (or an American PF user) to point me in the right direction.... I bet you can buy these from the dealer in the US!

Hi Martin. This may be a long shot try http://www.europaspares.com/

i know they've imported mustangs and deal with kit car bits and bobs.

also you could try their sister company https://www.europasvt.com/

worth a try i suppose.

Cheers Glyn

what axle is it, they had the 7.5 and 8.8 live axles, if its the 8.8 my guess is it could be the same as a ford explorer as they had live 8.8's, but studs may be bigger being 4x4 axle, other than that u could try rally design as i got mine from them when i was building my kit car with all mustang running gear, a 7.5 may well be the same as a sierra or capri

Change all the studs to sensible metric ones !! ( although I had to have my rears made with screw in 1/2" ARP studs )

Fucking about with imperial crap ! lol

Failing that, Andy Robinson Race cars, Hauser Racing, Webster, or maybe Real Steel, USAutomotive ?

Its an 8.8", I would have swapped over to metric as we have these in stock in std and long versions but the problem is that the diameter of the spline on the Mustang stud is a lot bigger than anything I have come across before.

Ive always found this place had a wide variety of studs. Give them a call.

None of the OEM 8.8" axles will have metric though. Unless perhaps a UK Ford Explorer or something or one of those jeep/pickup things they sell. Some of them use the 8.8" front and rear as far as I know so may have opted for metric studs for the UK. Although it is a long shot.

Custom Moser axles arent overly expensive and you can have them made to suit whatever studs you want.

Couple of pics of my old steed

Could never work out if I found it ugly or 'different'
Side pipes and 5.0v8 are the way forward! Will always miss the noise!

Turbine alloys and G.T cheese grater rear lights are ugly, 10 holes and proper rear lights on my LX.

Pics!
I seem to remember something about the lx model being better? Isn't it lighter or something?
Tbh I think it's an ugly car no matter what lights it has

Yes LX is lighter, quicker.
And it's a 35 year old design, older than Sierra, and the Yanks (Ford) first attempt at Euro styling.

Martin - I work in a parts store in the US, and I can get as many replacement studs and lug nuts as you need, brand new from Dorman. Probably about $2 apiece. If you only need a few, postage may cost more than the parts themselves, but shouldn't be TOO outrageous for a small package. Shoot me a PM if you can't find them elsewhere. We've got everything else for a fox, too: chassis parts, engine gaskets, brake parts, whatever you need.

Colin
