depends on where & how bad the crack is, i've seen some which are "cracked" but been like it for years with no problems.

you'll get boost issues if the crack is bad enough to leak through it

I replaced my turbo the other weekend and noticed that the exhaust housing was cracked where the waste gate penny is. I think the cracks apear cause of the heat and then cooling down.

cracks are common, ok if they're bad enough to make there way into the are near the turbine blades.

not a problem not unless one side off crack sits higher than the other penny will leak off

as said cracks around the turbine wheel are a no no
