Guys is the 535 much quicker than the 530? I'm looking to get another e60 soon as myne has 85k on now, it's remapped on the evolution remap set up and goes very well, also had the swirl flaps removed straight away when I got it.
A friend has a 535 and averages 32mpg which is same as my 530 so i won't really be missing out on the mpg by getting the 535.

I'm averaging 38 out of mine and the difference between a 530 and 535 is amazing. They just pull right frm very low revs and all the way through to the red line. It's true that you remap a530 to nearly standard 535 power but that extra turbo means that once remapped the 535 will blow any 530 out of the water.

If your anywhere near Kent then you more than welcome to have a go in my remapped e61.

Thanks for the kind offer Jeff, to bad I'm way down south!.
I love the space in the 5 series, just seems abit more mature than a 3series, best advice I would give is make sure you get one with the xenon option, I live in the forest and IMO the standard lights just arnt good enough.

Have covered over 100 miles since the map. Its definately picked up some more power over that mileage Fuel economy turned to shit due to far to much excitement with the loud pedal

i deffo need a remap tho, when the car is fully loaded with all the kids and a boot full of luggage it's only 35mpg on the motorway and not as quick off the roundabouts as i'd want

Any idea who sells decent intercooler upgrades for the E39 530d? I'm
Thinking about a remap in mine, but might as well do the Decat & intercooler & go for the 280ish Bhp map?

we have done 297bhp on a 330D so far, my new cooler should just push it to 300bhp i reckon!

depends on your std power and engine type though.

The car is reliable at that, did plenty of laps of the ring, and has been a daily driver for 5 years.

my 320D is over 200bhp! im trying to push these on a little, and we are about to release a stage 1, 2 and 3 for the E46 3 series Diesels, The 5 series wont be far behind.

Apologies for dragging this thread back up but thought it would better than starting off a new one.

Are there any pitfalls surrounding these remaps, e.g. clutches, boxes etc? Mines a LCI e60 530d

I have nightmares of slipping clutches (mainly on my old fords lol). Who is the best person to go to around the essex area?

Many thanks
