do injectors need re-coding if you get then reconned and if so does anyone no who does them and how much.

 

For a diesel yes.

 

Hi mate, if your on about common rail diesel injectors, i do them at work, i work for colchester fuel injection ltd, we overhaul Delphi and Bosch , i mainly do Delphi, which once finished through a full test after overhaul they get a new 16 digit c2i code, overhauls are 118+ vat each

Most of the time you get away with it
Very rare they will not start
Somtimes a bit rough
After few drive cycles the ecu monitors cylinder balance and will adjust accordingly

 

It's for emissions not security

 

What is the surcharge on posting out replacement recon ones before i post mine back to you?

I phoned your place and got a quote of £118 + vat but ideally i would like the replacement recon ones here before i take mine out to save a lot of hassle getting a lift to colchester

Also how do i identify what type i have? i was told there is a few? i have all the parts numbers off of each injector and each code if that helps
