My focus speedo just stopes off this morning.felt like a lil power drop then it just stoped working.after a few seconds it came back on.
Anyone have this problem before and know how to fix it

Hi Andy,
I can help you out with your problem.
I had this happen to me and it is your speed sensor which is located in your gearbox. It sounds worse than it is......
When you open your bonnet look on the left hand side down at the gearbox, close to the bulkhead, you will see the speed sensor located, this is what your problem is.
Somebody in Fords told me that I had to have new clocks and have them set up by them, but after asking about I found out this was the problem not the clocks!!
It is a bit of a swine to get out as you do not have much room and they have a tendency to snap, so be careful and take your time.

Just to confirm 99% of the time this is VSS
When the clocks need replacing there are usually more faults such as fuel and coolant gauges giving readings when ignition off, lcd display dying, etc.
