for comparison, 205/50/17's are 1998mm around

i think the ones listed ar 5 x 112 stud..

obviously fitments would be checked pre order..

i think their the ideal wheel for the project,,

just wish i was not going on holiday early april so i could get cracking,

the body shop is tidying the car of minor dents whilst im gone... but now ive seen the picture in this thread, i have other ideas... there is some colour coding and door smoothing to be done

i may concentrate on wheels and stance after the bodys tidyied then go for the colour coding as the body shop can modify the arches at the same time if needed

seems like a logical order to do things

dojj thanks

what i ment was whats the diameter from one side to the other i would estimate 20" for the wheel and 3" of rubber each side giving a total of 26" across..

if so happy days

do ya get what i mean?

are you on drugs? A full rayvern set up cost 1600, it can be done much cheaper if you piece the kit together yourself.

Best of luck finding kit that will go as low as you want for your budget. There's really not a lot out there for the Estate (for obvious reasons). This is mine on 8.5x18s, and I'll go lower just as soon as I can find some coilovers that aren't shit, or incredibly expensive.

It's a standard Zetec-S bumper, although I painted the plastics black (they were grey) and used some vinyl to do the lower middle section. It looks a bit patchy on that pic as it was wet (just washed it). The mirrors are black now, and I want to get it a fair bit lower yet...

But they won't even be as low as mine! As the rears are separate springs and dampers they're only really coilovers on the front, and the rears don't even come with adjustable spring cups (as far as I can tell), so you're left with a paltry 35mm drop. The same for the KWs. I'm considering coilovers for the front and some custom spring for the back to give a 50mm drop. I'd love it properly low, but it's a daily driver and is regularly full to the brim with stuff, so I can't go as low as I'd like to.

Not until you said that... just did a rough Photoshop and it looks good. Hmmm, might consider it. Just don't want to unearth any horrors under the strips!

if they are anything like the rubbing strips on the mk2 focus which is of similar age, they have rather large square holes behind the strips not ideal lol

hey i could be wrong, i just said if they are anything like the mk2 focus doors, a car of similar age. iv never had to strip the rubbing strips off a mk3 mondeo to date, only had to do it on the rear door of a mk2 focus due to hefty rear door damage

don't remove the strips

at worst you'll get loads of car parking dings, at worst you'll need to paint the doors as they will either be pulling the paint off or there will be no paint underneath

The strips are just stuck on, but the lacquer underneath can sometimes trap moisture and leave an obvious line.

I've got Eibach springs and Bilstein dampers. Think they're 40 front and 30 rear.

the price looks good the drop is plenty, up to 75mm give em a look and if every one could give there opinion as im not to up on whats good and whats not to be honest, im aware ap make some puka stuff. and im very tempted to put these on my short list

http://www.ruderacing.co.uk/-Perform...duct_info.html

my chosen wheel choice is not available in the 108 5 stud which is a reasult because ive found a better wheel there avalible in silver alloy and black

Cheap coilovers are noisy, but good ones aren't. At work we've got AP coilovers on the Mk7 Fiesta ZS, and KW coilovers on the Focus ST, neither rattle, bang, nor clunk on any journey.

The APs are great on the Fiesta. I wasn't expecting them to be all that, but I'd have no hesitation in fitting them to my car... Can't help thinking that you'll live to regret fitting 20s if I'm honest though...

with the ditch finders on, you won't want to drive fast in any case

also, the coil overs in the pic don't look anything like the coilovers that would fit the mondeo estate, hence the cheaper price

Ride quality, handling, clearance, the cost of tyres, the amount of tyres you will get through, the weight of 20s, the increased stress on your hubs/bearings (changing bearings is a ball ache), the weak side walls on cheap 20s... the list goes on. I just think you may live to regret it. But, your car, your call and you may be prepared to put up with all that for the look you want.

I'm guessing they're a generic shot. Very few companies with a big range have pics of all the products.

im looking for coilovers for the mondy estate and cant seem to find the brand fk ak
