Borbet C's are shite looking. And Azev A's and Borbet A's have been played out on all sorts of shite too.
TSW Alpines, TSW Stealths, TSW Venoms, TSW Hockenheims, TSW Imola's, Khan RSR's, OZ Saturn Pluses, MIM Raffinos, Antera 149s, Speedline Alessios and Speedline Minstrals will be the most epic wheels of the 90s.

PassionFord Post Whore!!
Allesios were cool... on Novas!
I had Stealths and Kahn RSRs on mk2 Golfs!
Still have a set of Team Dynamics DTM (Hock look-a-likes) also from the 90s

I actually used to get max power circa 1994 when I was about 17 and I'm sure they were about then. Maybe they came a bit later but they just signified the coming of the real tat that flooded in to max power and fast car. Every boy racer and his dog had them when I was young, nobody I knew thought they were the slightest bit cool.
I remember my best mate buying a rover 220gti (too cheap not to) and it had 17" venoms, every one of them was bent badly enough you could see a flat spot on them

Best left in the 90s for me. Focus ST alloys remind me of them and i always wished Ford had of put different wheels on the Focus. See Richie ST's Focus in his siggy, it looks much better with RS alloys on it rather than the Venom lookalikes.

Without doubt one of my favourite Retro TSW wheels is here. They look better on a Saff....

So you think every chav chariot corsa/nova/escort in max power having them made them cool? Strangely enough, I think that makes them far from cool. Popular with boy racers is the phrase you're searching for.

Some people didn't like them, but they were a "must have" for a time for an awful lot of people.

Yes my cousin had them on his Carisma kitted R5 GTX lol. They where god awful...but venoms are still cool. Same as wolfrace slots - bit of a ugly duckling, nice for era and still cool now

Not entirely sane
The Venoms and all of the Y split spokes that followed are awful IMHO, including the latest Ford ones. It just looks like they all jumped on the chav boy racer bandwagon. Lacks Power magazine has a hell of a lot to answer for, it was almost as if you had to have Venoms to get a pic of your motor in there.
