Default seat/vag experts

Hi everyone my brother has bought a 04 seat Leon and the reverse lights don't work now he has taken it back to the dealer and they have changed the reverse light switch and it still same just wondering if anyone knew of any common faults that he can tell them to check many thanks Dan

i would be taking it back to the dealer and telling them their so called "fix" didnt work

Bulbs, fuse, check the boot is closed properly, earth to light units

It's a trader more than a dealer and it got some crap warrenty on it and there dragging there feet about it so was tryin give him so ideas to tell them to check as I not there to sort it for him thanks for those ideas

If the reverse lights are on the boot door, check where the wire's come into the boot door at the roof

Chech wiring at switch carefully,very weak point for corrosion/snapped wires very common across vag range.

looms are common to break where they pass from body to tailgate.
