Switch imo, the low and high control outputs are akin to using the former I should think?

i.e. on and off at a predetermined temperature?

The gauge can be programed to switch at a low level then again at a high level, i.e. switch one fan on at say 85degs and then the second fan at 90degs.

Was just abit woried about reliability and also the gauge will read from the sender in the head, would there be much diffrence in the temp at the two diffrent points.

They should be about the same.

Penty of cars don't have rad switches, they take there temp from a stat housing or the head directly, like your gauge does. That would be the way, if you wanted staged fans.

Rad switch is simply on/off, at least the one your looking at is.

i would be tempted to use the stack. i'd have the low settings with the 2 fans wired in series so that they go half speed, and then the high go to paralel wiring for full speed.

it's more to go wrong.
