maybe old seals were the reason for the rebuild and rebuild doesn't mean the engine was broken before.....

anyway, what a car.

At standard power you are most probably right. However even standard cars have a 'particular' starting procedure etc etc IIRC. This over time not being adhered to wont help...

There is one for sale at a car showroom in wigan, i cant remember the name of the place for love nor money. It was around the 120 price , i went in and looked round it, really amazing car. If i ever win the lottery il pop down and pick it up lol.

Just found it on pistonheads. Place is called ron hodgsons.

Im wondering how all these RS200s are popping up with G reg plates, when they where homologated between 1984 and 1986. So they should have A B and C regs, and maybe the odd D for late registering. I doubt late registering is 3, 4 or 5 years after production!!

Can understand kit cars having non age related plates, but genuines are bound to??

Registered late basically!

Whether that was because they were kept in a collection first of all, kept abroad first of all, or used as a show car. Or simply the fact that Ford didn't shift them that quickly!

The last few were specced up to the eyeballs in an effort to get rid of them.

But you can't put a newer plate on a car. And the advert states its c reg, doesn't it?
I am on my phone so the pics a little small.

how about this one,

http://autocollections.com/index.cfm...car,year&sr=31

ive been to this museum and seen this, all the cars are for sale. Quite high prices but if you win big in the casino you can walk round the back to choose a new car, that or just wait for a good exchange rate.

Anyone with 90k for a car will simply get on the phone and arrange to view

the best advert in the world wont sell a 90k car , the car will sell itself

Clarkson reckoned no one wanted a 40 something k car. So ford raised the price to 50k in a bid to sell more

homologation required the 200 cars to be built not necessarily road registered.
