If your getting the car painted underneath (like the top),just remember it will stonechip so you wont be able to drive it everyware (or drive it in anger) if you want to keep it mint
I did the same with my mk1

I did the same with my mk1

Tbh mate I think it will be fine.. The original resto paint has not chipped and that's been on since 1995...and it's been drove really hard..so we will see what happens.

the mk2 escort was sold back to its previous owner a while back.it is a 1600 sport. Your car looks clean enough allready Matt. I was the one sat in it driving seat while you pushed it on the ramp this afternoon.
