Aye mate, from memory I believe it leaves around 6pm and arrives at 1pm the next day. That was the plan anyway, revise the following road trip, show, track and drinking plans. Then get wasted on the boat

Watch out for the norwegian customs, they'll want your beer As we're not part of the EU, the rules are very different. If you dont have any other alcohol you are allowed to bring a whole 5 litres of beer each. If you have spirits as well you are only allowed 2 litres of beer each, and 1 litre spirits each... Welcome to Norway!

Thanks for the heads up I don't think we'll have that much beer, more food than anything else. Enough ale to get us through part of the trip and then purchase more around the site. Can't wait

Looked into it a bit more this morning and it's about a 10 hour drive once over there, drive through Denmark past copenhagen and up past gothenberg to Norway and it doesn't look to far from the border to the track, driving that way round misses out the ferry crossing from hirtshals to larvik which is about 11 hours on it's own

Hirtshals-Larvik will be waste of time, Frederikshavn-Gothenburg is a better alternative then

Yeh but how long is that ferry going to take,it's 19 hours roughly on a ferry from harwich to esbjerg so will probably do that route even then it's still another 9 or 10 hour drive the other side

If you get the ferry to Larvik, you'll have to get another ferry across the Oslo fjord between Horten and Moss, then drive down south again towards Rudskogen.

@ jonesymk2

Just do the same trip we're doing mate, cut out the hassle of figuring it out If you want rough time of travel, just type in the from/to destination on google and complete the short route planner on U.K. ferry site and they'll give you start and arrival times along with a price

Christ mate, that's a long, tedious drive. Just do Harwich to Denmark and drive from there. Cheaper and quicker run
