Focus RS pistons
Hi all.
Is there anyway to match focus rs pistons to blacktop rods?
I know they have a larger gudgeon pin hole, but can the rods be bored out or the pistons bushed down.
If not, which I suspect not as I think there is a slight difference in rod length anyway, what are the options? Wait for FRS rods to become available 2nd hand (ford don't sell them now)
I've got these pistons and was quite keen to use them with minimal expense if possible.
Thanks alot,
Matt

no real sensible way of using them really, unless rods come up cheap.
not even steel ones can be used due to pin size.
sorry, not much help, but maybe sell them off and get forged ones instead.

Use st170 rods and pistons with, frs 1.8mm head gasket
Safe for 300bhp????
Other wise I know where there's a complete frs mk1 engine needing a rebuild for £350
Needs a piston and two valves?
