Ok cheers, and yeah i will, il take some photos soon! Also, rollinz, do i just get a standard set of 106 gti springs or uprated items? And when i do ditch the 300bhp for 450-500, how much roughly, too the nearest £500, would i be looking at for the inlet and echaust msnifolds, fuel rail and injectors and a turbo that you recomend?? Thanks for all your advise.

standard 106 springs i belive mate, you could go for 400 plus with 2200 to 2500, depending on wat turbo you want to run

what nevs said tbh!

turbo choice is the biggest headache!!

a GTX2876 would be best! with 38mm runner manifold to keep gas speeds up that turbo will see you touch 500bhp give or take a few with the right fuel system and mapping

I cant imagine what that would be like... I was happy with the 255 that i had before! I have a pair of driveshafts made up for the focus box for a mk4 escort but dont look thaf great tbh.. Il have a go with them for 300bhp, but before i do anything else il try and get a proper pair made. Also... Im using a focus rs gearbox. Obviously they have 18 inch wheels. My escort has 17's. Would 18s be better, or would it not really matter? 2500 seems a lot, but what would touch it for that money? got to be done next year i think!

just keep 17"s mate,
£2500 isnt that much really...

a GTX turbo your looking at £1k + fittings,
inlet.. £600-800 inc fittings etc.. (throttle boddy, rail, regualtor etc)
exhast mani £500-600 depending on what material is used and what style etc

obviously there other things to take into account...
mapping... map sensor... injectors... fuel pump... swirl pot....

but trust me!! 500 bhp is well worth it!! and dont EVER let anyone tell you that you wont be able to use the power!! that FRS gearbox puts it down just fine

Thanks a lot to both of you!! At the moment its just got an uprated rs turbo pump. Will this be ok for 300bhp? Obviously a bigger one will be needed with a swirl pot for the big power. And i take it the standard diamoter fuel pipes will be ok for big power too?

Yeah im looking forward to seeing what the box is like, before i only had a deisel box with the rst lsd.

get a bosch 044 slapped on there for good measure!! cheap and relable

dont know what the BOX will be like in a S2, but in the focus.... it can catch you out as it actually LIKES to turn into corners and pull you thru them! much better than just locking the wheels and going in a straight line lol!!

Sounds good!! I need a good suspension setup soon too. Just on cheap shocks and lowering springs atm. Il invest in a good set of coilovers and rear anti roll bar i think. And yeah il get on the case with the fuel pump before i get it up for mapping.

I started this ages ago on my last car.

Im going down the sand route on my fiesta build.

After reading this, i bought a standard 2.0 blacktop inlet manifold with fuel rail, and a set of focus rs injectors.

I went to fit the rs injectors, but dont seem to fit very well, and hit the manifold?

Here are a few picks of the focus one (bigger injector), against the standard ones that came with the blacktop manifold.

Any advice appreciated!!

Standard injector

Rs focus injector. Doesnt sit all the way down

Standard one fits in nicely

Rs one hits before it goes all the way in
