Rover turbo inlet - injectors
Hi, basicaly im building a zetec turbo for around 300bhp. Im using a rover 200 turbo inlet manoifold, with a focus rs manifold with its gt25 turbo.
I had the same setup before but with a cvh manifold and a T3.
Now that ive forged my engine and am aiming for 300bhp, what injectors do you recomend? At the moment they have red bands on them. I have no idea what cc these are but was thinking of going for 440's? Any idea what i need?
Cheers, Tom.

but.. a std focus rs inlet is just the same as a 1.8/2.0 blacktop zetec, and on a focus rs they still good enough for 380 ish,
the only restrictive part on the focus rs's is the std exhaust manifold,
good for 300 bhp but after that a tublar is needed,

the rover ones may do high bhp, but they will be maxed out and no flex for any enrichments such as acceleration enrichments or extra fuel to combat high act's.
just had a big discussion on these injectors a couple of days back.

Im using the rover (lucas) blue bands on my zvh. They were setup and are fueling 249bhp. My friend is also using the smae injectors on his zetec turbo and he is getting 299bhp 360 ftlb.
BTW i thought red band were 340cc and blue were 480cc?

maybe how the focus ECu conrtoles them is how they do up to 370???
personally i think it is asking for a bit too much.. but there are cars out there doing it

not entirly sure tbh mate! i dont know what the rover inlets are like etc..
in my honest opinion, for what your wanting to do, everything thats std on a focus RS is avaliable reletevly cheap and easy to fit with no "alterations" to make,
simply bolt together and away you go,
heres a simple modd'ed focus RS and results
Full Mongoose inc de-cat
Adjustable actuator
Forge re-circ
K&N panel
AE base map with blufin
remember this car is still runing std exh manifold... and only 18 psi boost....

im with rollinz on this 1, you got the focus log mani, good, gt25, good, i would be thinking about running focus injectors, i have seen to many t16,s melted due to lake of fuel, i know mainly due to crappy MEMS ecu, but still would not trust a old set of rover injectors

there ya go and thats talking about a COMPLETELY STD focus rs engine
Well if he's running standalone then he'll be virtually there without anything as Shep has proven

oh and just to add....
focus RS's have a lower pressure fuel regulator....
so if you grab a 2.0 inlet and fuel rail and reg.. use focus rs injectors with the 2.0 n/a reg... its a modFRS owners do when having a custom map

good path your heading down now tom, should have a easy 280-300 bhp, but with that turbo they are just squirt and go, really usable power, loved my old set up, so responsive,

they are a brilliant little blower, really underestimated, wat car is this going in tom?
we managed to squeeze 300 horses out of our gt25, things stated getting too hot after that, and that was on ofab,

Its going in my series 2 escort rst. I would like to run it at 300 this year then next winter invest in area six inlet and big injectors, tubular exhaust manifold and GT30? For around 400 - 450bhp? But thats for 2013!

inlet without fuel rail is Ł600
not been flow tested just "tried out" on my car and had good results,
all cylinders seem to get equal flow when "off boost" and its cleaerly working "on boost"
the velocity stacks are a one off design too (i will PM you details but please dont make public!)... gaz at G R isnt going down a route of making loads as he's more subaru/evo orientated so the inlet is made to order,
