been told not to bother replacing them unless i change valves too, is this right ?

Total bollocks, if they need doing put the small turbo ones in, much more durable.

not sure they do need doing but y it off might as well have decoke and get them done, but wasnt going to if i had to buy valves too

dont no steve just what i was told by a enginnering place they said i should replace both together, even before they have seen the head

the valves are a stronger material than the guides, hence the guide wears, id replace them and use your valves as thelast thing you want is a smoking engine due to not changing valve guides
