remote locking
im trying to fit a laserline remote central locking unit to my 94 rs2000 4x4 but need some help please
Diagram 1 is pretty self explanatory I know where these go
Diagram 2 is where I'm stuck!
Firstly, does the alarm unit refer to the c/l unit or the remote unit?
Next, do green-black & yellow-black require a separate 12v feed (tho a 5a fuse) altho the unit already has a 12v feed (red on dia.1) or does this come from the c/l unit?
On the c/l the yellow is earth when open live when closed
White is live when open and earth when closed
So where do these connect to either grey-black & or brown-black?
Lastly the blue-black & red-black are ?

whatever unit you have these colour wires from....some have it in main unit and some have a seperate c/l module.
green/black and yellow/black need a constant live feed with fuse.
connect your grey/black to yellow and brown back to white and arm alarm if it works the wrong way swap these two wires.
blue/black and red/black are not connected

cool cheers for the reply, wanted to check as i thought it wouldve been more involved with the car's c/l than just 2 wires but obviously not!
just one more, where would you suggest i tap the purple (ignition) wire too?

Changing the subject slightly, but I hope there are more diagrams and wires than I can see in those pictures?
What is the door sensing? I cannot see any wires that would connect to the door circuits, nothing for immobilisation (although your car should have something anyway in the form of PATS). From what I see there, it will only go off if someone tries to hotwire the ignition.
And don't tell me it has ultrasonics to protect the inside, because they can be bypassed in seconds.

apart from the main diagram there's 4 diagrams for different locking systems, positive, negetive, vacuum and 1 other
however no extra wires, all the wires are shown in the diagram
all this unit is for is to remote lock/unlock the doors, nothing to do with security as such just to open and lock the car as i have no barrels in the doors
no it doesn't have ultrasonics either or even pats anymore
had enough of technical wires and motherboards......... i'm going old skool lojack now
