st200 traction control

Default st200 traction control

hi all need some help with the traction control module ,the connector seems as if it has a loose connection or broken wire if i wiggle it around it works for a while then goes again and the red handbrake llight then stays on ,how does the connector plug come off so i can clean it are there hidden screws thanks

could you post some pics of the connector ? and I thought the handbrake switch is a seperate system ?

thanks for the reply i cant get to it really to take a photo its under the servo unit but there is a big square plug there , it seems that when something goes wrong with this system the handbrake light stays on, when it decides to work the handbrake light goes out and the little wheel skiding symbol lights up on dash when ignition is on then goes out correctly

ok mate thats the ABS unit / traction unit , Ill have a look at my ford TIS cd and see what I can find out .

The traction control on the ST200 works on both the throttle and brakes. Sounds like your issue is with the ABS module, which is a proper bitch to replace. Hopefully it's the connector going to the module, rather than the module itself.

yer thats right if i move the connector around it works for a while ,well its got a mind of its own i think i need to remove the connector and clean it up / check for any broken wires ,just need to find out how to remove it i have give it a tug but it seems secure
