Cossies out accelerate big bikes right?

Busa us a bad choice for comparison to be honest..
A Busa is about 250kg wet weight and about 160 bhp at the wheel.
A modern litre bike is about 200kg wet weight and 165 bhp at rear wheel. My 08 R1 for example.
A modern litre bike is where it's at..

Wheelie problems aren't that big on mine: it's fairly long for a bike so as long as you skip the first two gears it's fine...doesn't mean you couldn't pop one in third if you really wanteed to though...
So far I've noticed a couple of flaws in my install wich I will rectify over the winter.
The aim is around 250/260 hp at the rearwheel wich shouldn't be much of a problem.
I want to keep the bike rideable and reliable so not going to chase numbers!

Ghost rider doing 214.3mph at elvington, on the back wheel.

He tried this year to beat that speed but melted a piston.
Nice Kat. looks very nice.
I think the problem here is people always compare highly modified cars to standard bikes. Chuck 10K or what ever it costs at a car evo/cossie/scoob etc and you may get a car that can keep up or just beat an early R1 for example. Not really an achievement when you can buy an early R1 for 2K or less and have super car beating performance. Chuck 10K at a bike and you will pretty much untouchable.

unless i was a bike courier, in which case i'd be burning up those cars through the traffic

I love to tinker with bikes and I ussually go for the odd ones such as this turbo'd katana.
I used to love quick cars, had loads but they don't do it for me anymore whereas the bikes are still interesting to me.
Will sort the Kat out, ride it for a bit and park it up most likely.
I always tend to get new projects but some I'll keep such as this Katana and my Buell XB9R.

Love bikes, my baby zx636r is a nippy little fucker, got power comander, exhaust, filter. Plenty quick enough and carried my not so small frame to 171mph clock speed on a private road..
Had fun with a few mates on the bends who have thou's but eaten alive once the track opended up..

Fair enough: a well ridden modern 600 or 750 is extremely fast and to be even fairer:
Most bikes are much more capable than the rider anyway!
The Katana is long and heavy so not that quick throught the bends but for a roadbike very stable and easy to ride.
