lol sorry mate wasnt saying you did say it was shit
just my southern lingo coming out lol
just out of interest what makes the spec r cooler so expensive anyway
they are all made of the same material and in the same way
paying for the name maybe ??
or have i missed something
Its ok mate.... I'm sure it's something to do with the core design... And the sheer size of the cooler iirc mate.

The cores are worlds apart. The spec-r has had over 2 years of development and testing behind it which does not come cheap. These are also hand fabricated individually to each customers requirments, all of which takes time.
Airtec's 70mm core only came close on bhp. The heat soak killed its recovery, were as the spec-r cooler recovered instantly.

That's to be expected with 30mm difference... But what's the 100mm vs each other going to be like...?

This topic has been done to the hills and the general conclusion looks like this, if you use a car for serious competition that requires the recovery you mention then yes it's worth the money but if your average Joe that has the car for blasting around on a Sunday then the Ł350+ difference isn't really worth it which is why other manufacturers sell tonnes more than Spec R.

No probs mate... Was just told that they wasn't that much in them to say the 70mm one is 30mm smaller than the spec R...
Yea I agree Chris... The 70mm IC I got of you is way more than capable for my spec... But at the sort of prices these are brand new it's deffo worth it.

Really, when the design was already being used around Europe

Haven't bought the wife a present yet let alone the Cossie. I'm still waiting for a mate to pay me 300 hundred odd quid he's owed me since the beginning of last month. I'm still out of work.....
