Hi has anyone had a code P0480 cooling fan 1 control circuit on a 06 golf 1.4 petrol? Ive been told that it a common problem with the fan unit it self anyone heard of this. Thanks if anyone can help

Yes they corrode i cleaned mine up and sorted.

 

Il have'nt had a proper look at the car just plug it in so will have a look see if there is any corrode wires or plugs. i think ther is two fans and the owner said that the fan seems to be on alot. i dont know if both fans are working.

Ha thanks mate ive already look at that, will have to have a proper look at the car. Was just checking as i was told there was a common problem with them so was just seeing if common or not before i look into it.
