No the 071 give a crap idle if you are running nice lean afr,

Iridium - pish unless you have a good coilpack setup, even then not worth the buck

071's - I also think they are shite....

I used iridium plugs in my bike with good results I suppose thats why I put them in my car.Same outcome on just a grp a coil, the only time they fouled was after sitting ideling for periods of time when the car was not in use (twice over a 12 month period).Other than that, use for 12 months then bin em.Its a pity Tabs is not about,he had a pretty good understanding of plugs imo.

071's clog up easily, normally dead and unsalvagable in most cases. But the bang for buck you can't complain, its a good plug

I disagree, I really rate them and I'm only on a group A coil, and my car idles perfect and revs cleanly to 8500rpm.

If you dont have a good coil setup at 500bhp then you are stupid, dont blame the choice of plugs because your coil system cant cope . Iridiums of the correct grade at any horsepower & any boost.

I have never had issues with 071 on wasted spark at all but since I've had a new engine I will be leaving that up to the mapper when the time comes but its currently sitting with a new set of 071 in for the running in process

Ive always used BCR8ES with no problems, granted not on a 500bhp engine but a 400bhp(ish) motor on greys and T34.63 @ 36psi. Never a missfire or hiccup, the only issue I had was if the car was being started, moved in and out of the garage/drive then turned off, then the same putting it away, it would eventually foul the plugs and it needed them cleaning and chucking in the oven for 10 minutes or bung a new set in at under a fiver (Halfords Trade Card )

Rod, what's a good coil system for sm4?
Im using a coil pack and have to run a 0.5-0.6mm gap or I get blow out.
Is there a good coilpack I can use or will I need to go coil on plug?
