std head bolts give a little bit becuase theer straetch bolts but can still be over clamped

the arp stud and nut kit with tprqued up contines with no stretch so finds a weak point in the block and the weak point as everyone knowson the blocks is betwen the water ways and head bolts

if you doa search on this forum i posted the full instructions for arp torque settings word to word from there instructions aswell
can you not tell me as theres hundreds of threads about head gaskets/bolts etc etc etc

Why use ARP's? They offer no advantage over the GENUINE standard head bolts, if you are going to uprate do it properly and go long studs...It will cost more in the long term being a cheapskate!

Use the arp substance provided and torque to there specs and no problems. The cracks shown on this block were identical to when i used std bolts over arp's on similar bhp, long studding with a genuine wrc multi layer gasket is really the only way to go 400+ BUT bare in mind arp
