I looks like someone has been trying to get into my hotmail account coz when i try to log in it just comes back saying that the maximum number of unsuccessfull attemps has been made(14 it looks like) and have blocked it for security reasons it looks like.

how do i sort this now tried calling customer suport but there not avaliable only in normal working hrs-i wanna get in my hotmail so can change password and read my emails

anyone know how i can sort this please?

If you have an e-mail client (e.g. Outlook) trying to connect to that account regularly (e.g. once every 10 minutes), stop it from trying to connect and leave it for a few hours.

Hotmail has started getting very flakey since MSN decided that non-paying customers with Hotmail accounts will gradually be prevented from accessing their mail remotely (everyone's going to have to log-in to check their mails).

I'd recommend not using hotmail for anything you rely on (business, etc) as they're generally acting like a bunch of arses. Plenty of better accounts out there (your ISP should be able to sort you out with an e-mail address as well).

Or get yourself a Gmail account. I know alot of people slate them too, but ive not had a single problem myself

Only thing I can think off is register a new account and email Hotmail about it to try and resolve the problem....
