People must think tuners don't talk to each other ! We know we ate the first to do it, that's why pretty much every focus tuner out there has been ringing kenny to find out how we did it and to try and get him to spill the beans lol.

It seems we can even do things that mountune cannot, they are pretty limited on what they can do it seems.

James - how do you work that out? Mountune have been updating RS through the OBDII port for years.

Out of interest how many cars have you tried the new crack on - and does this work for all calibration releases?

Hi Dave, long time!

Are you saying that Mountune could already reflash FRS Mk2 through OBD already??

Can they read then modify a file before flashing it back? Or do they just have set calibrations which they can flash on?

Yes I think mountune have been able to flash the maps they use onto the Ecu, but I'm pretty sure that they could not modify them. I think they have only set maps that either ford or Bosch have complied into a firmware they can flash.

I may be wrong, but I don't think mountune get as involved in the firmware and security as people think.

I'm sure any tuner could flash a map onto an Ecu if ford or bosch made the file for them.

That is my understanding. I also believe that the MR375 calibration requires ECU removal .

I've not done an upgrade on a FRS, however if you go into Ford ETIS and put in a reg of a car that has been upgraded by Mountune there is a download link for the upgraded cal.

Needs access keys though.

edit - I guess that is for the 345ps file tho?

MR375 -

Please note: As part of the calibration update process the original vehicle ECU will need to be returned to Mountune - a range of optional same-day courier services are also available to UK customers for this purpose at additional cost subject to location - please ask for more details.
