Not really, have you been in a Vauxhall of any kind of the same era, if so then you would have noticed the difference, they are plastic tastic!

Focus has rubber/dash switches etc, and it just dosen't feel cheap where as some other cars do.

They are a great car though, even at 11 years of age, with 120k lowered on cheap springs it still handles like its only rails

Tis exactly why i drive a scooby,
Try and buy a 350 bhp ford with all the suporting goodies for less than 6k

That's good, but what does that have to do with the price of a base model Focus?

The dash is just shiny plastic? No rubber anywhere
The only bit I would be happy to say is good quality is the headlight switch and the indicator/windscreen wiper stalks. They feel 'chunky'.
But even the window switches and the door handles feel cheap.
Also the seats are hard and gives me testicle pain But this is because the LX has cheap seats, the Zetec onwards have much nicer seats.

I'd be happy to say the MK4 Astra although abit more dull if definatley better made inside.

Still a great car though, don't get me wrong!
Just interior quality I think is piss poor.

The ventilation control switches are like a rubbery material, as are the cup holders/centre console.

To me that pic you posted looks cheap and inferior to a Foci, but each to there own!

No offence but I don't see how a window switch can feel cheap lol.

Agreed the LX seats are a known issue, but I don't find it to much of an issue.

I can settle this. Mk1 Focuses are really cheap beacuse they're shite and no fucker wants one!

Let's argue!

most vx's from the past have been terrible inside, even our new vans have that cheap shit feeling to them where they were built to a price rather than built for any particular quality, the transit pisses all over it in every way shape and form (other than the repair costs per hour)

but for the price of things, it's a simple case of over supply for the market for stuff that can be virtually thrown away, just because something costs more, doesn't always mean it's worth the extra outlay

For once we agree mate!

Lots were bought new because they were THE best in class leading to a large amount on the second hand market.
