Is it a combi boiler and if so does it work when you open a hot tap ?
If its a normall boiler and hot water cylinder you will have either 2 zone valves or one 3 way valve probley in airing cupboard ? if so let us know and we will then know which route to go down

You will have a front cover, usually white, which will be held on with a few screws. Whip that off and take a picture, we can go from there

Pressure gauge is under the boiler on the pipe work on them boiler and some times they stick so you think you have pressure but you havent, next thing is there a reset button on the boiler ?
Swith the boiler off for 10 seconds swith back on and open a hot tap what can you here happen if anything

Right, with the cover off as in the pics, try and get it to work, but listen and see if the fan starts to spinn up/work. It is at the top of the boiler as pic one

yeah, i switched the heating off before i went to the bedford show yesterday,
froze my knackers off all day, got hom and the fookin thing wouldnt work
i filled it up this morning as it wasnt showing any system pressure, tiff told me how to get it back so got it up to 2 bar.
which bit is the pump?

the pump will be at bottom of boiler and will probley be warm if its trying to spin and cant if so just tap it and you will here it start to spin, the other thing it could be is a high limit stat could have poped out , if the boiler tryed to start with pump not runing it would have got hot and cut out

Dont worry, it is totally safe
(If it doesnt fire sucking on that hose, try the top one as i cant see exactly where they go)

bottom one didnt do anything, top one , kind of sucked a little bit then sounded like a valve or summit cut the suction off and something clicked.
