Focus RS Colour Change
Options please???
Car has gone in for painting & i've been told now it's not going blue
I want it BMW grey but again been told it'll look like a ST170, Robbo (painter) wants it red but im unsure. Only one we have agreed on is black but would have to be ash black IMO. Car will be running ambers & standard FRS rims for the time being so need something that will contrast well. I've got one week then he's doing the engine bay & im stuck with the colour
Ash Black
Solid Black
Red
Moonstone Blue
Mallard Green
Grey/BMW
Jewel Violet
Any idea's, No daft colours....

Black with ambers go well or alternatively white. Wouldn't think about other colours personally if changing from blue.

I voted moonstone blue. I'd say it will look very nice and will be a rare colour choice. I do like british racing green though.

Polaris grey mate, I reckon, if you have got to have a colour change..
I'm assuming that BMW grey is closest to that on the list.

Red, deep red like a rosso corsa. Paint the rims black and it's a winner

Solid Black, if you weren't into keeping your car well then I'd go for a metallic black since it'll mask swirls a bit better than gloss black would... I love Jewel Violet, but don't think the interior will 'go' too well with JV and to get it right, the blue bits of interior will need to be changed which bumps up the costs of work involved.
Cheers,
Grant

As said before Sticky unless you are going to do the interior , you need to do something that works with blue as there is alot of it in the interior.

The thought of a Jewel Violet Mk1 FRS is just awesome. Go for it!! Will probably be the most unique, if not - the only FRS1 in that colour!!!!!

Jewel Violet would be AMAZING if you're going to change bits on the interior

How much would it cost to retrim the blue bits of the interior in grey?? I think a grey/black interior would work really well with the Jewel Violet rather than standard blue/black interior which would be a bit bright to 'go' IMO.
Only problem I see is, being a complete step away from the norm, it might be a bit more difficult to sell the car on in JV since it's more of an aquired taste than a standard bold solid colour like White, Red, Blue or Black.
Cheers,
Grant
