MK6 Ford Fiesta Problems
Hi,
My girlfriends MK6 Fiesta Zetec has a couple of problems.
The idle speed seens a but high, instead of being just under 1000, when warm it sits at about 1500. Is there anyway to adjust it?
The other problem is the steering seems heavier when turning to the left, this is only noticeable when she turns the wheel when the cars is pretty much stationary, like when like is parking or just settings off. Turning right is completely fine.
Any ideas?
Cheers,
Dan

Throttle body needs cleaning, funny thats what ive been doing today and the first two posts ive read on here are about idling issues, must be the weather.
You need to clean the butterfly flap inside the throttle body, failing that its the idle control valve or throttle position sensor, use neat clean fuel or carb cleaner to do so, i recommend finding and pulling the engine management fuse out after or disconnecting the battery for a while to reset the ECU too

Could be anything related to the steering and suspension mate, top mount on the shock absorber, wishbone bushes, track rod or rod end, or even the rack, does it knock or make any noises?
