Try to fill it with a touch up pen, leave to dry.Wet sand it with with a fine wet and dry, then machine polish it.Failing that it will need spraying.

How deep is it? can you feel it? if its deep just use a machine polisher and some cutting compound,a paint thickness gauge would be very handy if you can get hold of one, then you can take the clearcoat down to a safe level and hopefully sort the scratch without striking through around it

general rule of thumb, if u can feel that scratch with a finger nail, its not going to disappear without paint

Sounds a bit crazy but if you have nothing left to lose I had some good sucess with Autosol, my little girl had decided to scratch my bonnet with the buckles on her shoes while sat on it (I was obviously not around to see her doing this but she owned up later). My current motor is quite old now so i thought why not try it. To be fail it looks a hell of alot better. I will get flamed by the buftys but remember my car so old it was not worth painting or going through any real hassle over.

Good luck

You realy need to have a look first to see how deep they are ,they might come out via hand

Just wet flat it and machine polish as far as you dare!
If it's deep don't expect to polish it out.
Rubbing at it will only put shape into the panel if you c!ck rub it lol

Sounds to me like somebody's scratched a car they've borrowed, and needs to get the marks out before the owner finds out
