Massivewangers jealousy is an evil thing, 3k for a Mint very rare mars red only 24 uk built 49000 mile fsh clio v6 represents fairly good value in my books

So jimbo all on current spec, so well worth the money

See not a hate post just needed facts. You people really dont understand my style.

Its amazing that its actually possible to catch fish even if your hook has a massive arrow pointing to it saying "bait here, please bite to be caught"

I guess fish cant read or are stupid or want to be caught

What the fuck U on? You sold the shell, the actual car was stripped, the development was fantastic hence why i lost money to not break it. I have a few standards u however dont and tricked me by saying it was for u, then slagging me over a dodgy wire that was fused.

I got infraction points for saying tony mannock was advertising again without paying trader fees, so i advertised for a joke, but he still a mod with no points.

I'd perfer martins car as a trackday car than a ferrari if I had 60k to spend on one in the first place, the reasons being:
cheaper tyres
cheaper brake pads
simpler to service
MUCH faster
rawer and more exciting
higher residual value if crashed
safer

So to me its a no brainer

i bought the car off matt complete ,minus the rs500 inlet, but everything else was the same as the history that came with the car from ggr

thats a fact

unless of course he sold all the ggr parts and replaced it with other ggr parts which were in fact the same as the original parts that were fitted when you had it lol

You'd only need to buy a 430 or a Lambo if you couldn't get pussy on your own looks and charm without it (dick extensions alright). For me, if I had the money, I'd be the new owner of the Reyland cossie by now, its far quicker than the 430/lambo, and its a more dedicated drivers/track car (a huge claim I know but I stand by it). For me its a no brainer.

(get ready for angry replies on how I'm wrong).

In my experience of owning a high spec cossie and a 430....

The ferrari is cheaper to run and far far far better and more enjoyable in every way. On road and on track.

Slower? of course. hardly slow though.... faster than an F40 around any track. fact.

Sorry but i can not see the farrari is cheeper!. If you dont know anything about cars so had to take them in to be done i bet a full servive / look over on the escort at raylands is far cheaper than the same on the ferrari at ferrari. And i would hate to think how much front discs and pads where or rear tyres or if you damaged it!

Surely you dont drive your ferrari as hard or as often on track as you did your sierra to be comapring like with like for costs?

Its only going to take one broken gearbox in the ferrari to dwarf all your cossie bills as well surely? So even though you havent had that yet, if you use it hard enough and long enough surely thats going to happen?

Also I guess it depends if you are going to be paying lots of labour on the cossie or not when it goes wrong.

Ferraris got a warranty. When it runs out it will be something like £2k a year I think to extend per year upto 10 years.

I have no mechanical skills. So have to pay labour on everything. That little afternoon you spend tinkering to fix that little niggle is few hundred quid minimum for me and a complete pain in the ass logistically.

Sierra was always breaking something or having some tweak or mod needed.

I'm not making it up. Ferrari far cheaper to run for me and if I didnt have 3 dedicated trackcars I would track it much more.

Its NO surprise that the Ferrari is cheaper to run and more reliable. One was an old 1980s saloon car that we trebled the power of....

Ones a new and totally standard Car that was expensive to buy but is built for the job of going fast. All the little stuff like the wheel hubs are upto the job etc.

Drive the Donkey just as hard as the Sierra as well. No doubts.

Warrenty + trackday car = Fucking epic win!

Fair enough, in that circumstance I can see its a trackday bargain relatively speaking.

I enjoy working on cars to a certain extent, but must admit I would LOVE a trackday car that had a warranty still

Even more jealous of you now

Mark is in the States so perhaps i can answer your question. My car is undergoing further development at this time. Ive no idea when it will be completed as its really not a priority in my life. Its current bhp is more than the 838bhp it made in December 2008. It now has a different Turbo & other mods so another 20/30bhp seems realistic. The latest changes may see a cam change to give a few more horses at the Topend.
Am i still going for 215 well 215.8mph is the 3rd fastest time ever in the UK behind Red Victor & the ffs Porsche. Is that realistic, probably not but beating the Caulder Supras 213.6mph & climbing into 4th spot would be nice.
I trust this answers your questions Phil.
Cheers Rod

It sounds like your underestimating how much a pair of 380mm rotors and pads are for things like martins escort !

Can see why you would use the F430 if it's warrantied ! Quite handy that

And i would hate to think how much front discs and pads where or rear tyres or if you damaged it!
Think you are MASSIVELY underestimating how much it costs to track and run and repair a 700bhp Escort Cosworth with parts like a OSG sequential gearbox...

Ferrari needs servicing once a year. Thats IT really. Tyres aren't expensive and its not heavy on them really. No more than a 700bhp Escort!

The Carbon brakes are alot to replace. About £8k for Discs... BUT you dont need to replace them like you do steel ones. The pads are £2k. but again last for AGES.... I just had to replace mine not because they were worn. but because I put the car away last winter when it was wet and they corroded

Bending it would be a wounder I admit. Gonna be alot cheaper to fix the Ford!
