Default Ripped off by a popular seller over here...part 2

hey fellas I wanted you all to know that MK motorsport has made the refund of 627 euros. The same amount I had paid last 5th May.

But I wanted the parts, I have waited almost 6 months and initially we agreed for the parts being delivered after 6 weeks. If he made a mistake calculating the expenses over the job was not my fault. Anyway he should refund just when he discovered that. It is childish in my opinion for a man to act this way. I had to tell to everyone on this forum that I was ripped off and than he refunded. The paypal address and my address was sent more than once, anyway I am happy that this was resolved.

Case closed....

I wouldn't say you have been ripped off if you are not out of pocket!

waiting 6 months then only getting a refund when posting a thread on here suggests to me that was bording on a rip off.

When you send numerous e-mails without reply or failed promises after 6 months you think that this is going to be a rip off. Any way now he refunded...

So him refunding you has meant you feel the need to slag him off on the internet?

dont forget he offered some free parts as well.

to say you were ripped off is a bit much, you ordered custom made parts, the manufacture of them did drag on, these things happen when someone is manufacturing something at cost price while still trying to earn a living making their bread and butter stuff.

at the end off the day, you got a full refund plus some parts, its hardly a rip off.

i dont know the ins and outs of the story but id be mightily pissed of if id waited 6 months for a promised 6 week part especially if i was getting no responce to emails and calls.
i dont know what he was making but we can complete million pound construction projects in 6 months.

out of interest what were you making that took 6 months after apparently promising 6 weeks and how long were you prepared to let him wait until you got around to doing the job youd been paid for?

if its true that its case closed then why put up another thread stirring up shit
as you only asked for a refund on the 28th this month i personally think your a dick for putting it on a public forum .as you can read by the replies his reputation is intact but you look like a twat in my eyes.

A Ł280 set of billet pulleys (half the value of your original order) gratis seems like pretty fair compensation to me!!

I think had i personally been offered those as a way of an apology i would not have started this new thread after i had got the required positive outcome on the other.

A rip off would be zero refund or you got wrong or crap parts & got refused a refund. Again no excuses for 6 months, but people have been put out for thousands with nothing to show.... MK has come good at least.

The rip off part came with the original thread which was closed and I couldn't reply to it so I made another one to let everybody know that it is true that MK MOTORSPORT has refunded all the money back.

I can understand the buyers frustration here, it's a nightmare waiting on a company for parts, each promise of "next week" keeps you strung along, I ended up waiting almost a year for some parts!!! It is VERY costly in time & attention, and gets you VERY wound up. I would rarther have a company say no than taking on somthing they can't handle & wasting my time.

Same as it should not have taken a public thread to get money returned. Look at the overall cost, the original sum of Ł tied up, and SIX MONTHS of valuable time that no one can ever give you back, the time is the really annoying part from my personal experience, as you cannot progress the project while you wait for parts!

At least a refund has been given now.

from the seller point of view:
no idae as i don't run a business

from an outsiders point of view:
i'm just happy to be nosey

a rip off is probably a bit harsh, bad practice to which hes held his hands upto and remedied is fair.
but show me one person who can claim to have 100% total customer satisfaction and ill show you a liar.

youre both missing the point!!

The point is there was already another whole thread about this where MK Motorsport agreed the refund and held his hands up and apologised, therefore was there really any need for this one? especially when the OP has been very generously compensated IMO.

I get were malti is coming from hard not to feel wounded when a verbal contract is made with moneys given , and your left wanting but Mk has made good and made peace offerings which is way better than most and has taken a ding to his rep by not acting as effectivly as he could have so If it was me I would be gratful that MK has made good an cut him some slack but hay thats me.

You have experienced a bad situation, but you have your money back PLUS some kind of compensation, which I feel is fair for what it is worth.

Not many people are as fortunate as that sadly, so count yourself lucky! It could be a LOT worse
