Correct when running at Brunters but you can also say Mike had the perfect run for that speed with so little power.

Don`t think people over here, build cossies, for top speed. We have other cars for that
like this 252mph Trans-Am, weight over 2tons
http://pollymotorsport.no/index.php?mapping=2
And this 213mph Rats Omega

....the fact remains Rod is 100% factual here....the other tuners always say they are not interested but in reality they know they dont stand a chance, just admit it!!!!
Jimbo if you do attempt any sort of high speed driving, infact any kind of driving, take it to an independant MOT station!![Surprised](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/bigcry.gif)

Whether what he spouted is fact or not, it still didn't help Jim one bit!

I think 180-190 tops. Pretty sure he hasnt run sub 10s either. Although I imagine a severe lack of traction is a problem there lol

just to bring it back on topic for a min, yeah i think you're correct Jimbo with your calculations, but 8k is a high rev limit which is why the potential top speeds froim each gear are quite high.
Just in case you're interested the ratios in the box I've got in the Saph are even higher, the box is a T45 from a Mustang;
1st - 3.37
2nd - 1.99
3rd - 1.32
4th - 1.00
5th - 0.67
so with your tyre sizes (225/40/18) and 8k rev limit I'd hit;
1st - 49mph
2nd - 83mph
3rd -125mph
4th - 165mph
5th - 245mph

Shame I'm only gonna run 225/50/15s and the heavy old V8 unit wont rev past 6k!!!!
Still gives me a 'potential' top speed of 175mph, but considering it's me that's building the car I think my bottle will go at about 130mph!!!![Surprised](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/bigcry.gif)

of course we're living in the past, the cars are old but that's what its all about being an enthusiast, passionate about the thing that you love

its like saying to an adult who collects and has a model railway in his/her loft, stop living in the past and grow up
