Default Renault Clio V6

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not the fastest thing out there but with a sports exhaust its certainly up there as far as sound goes! With coilovers handling doesnt feel that bad, i was told to just take it easy in the wet! What surprised me was it has a 6 speed short shift box from standard...very nice, easish to drive, turning circle is shit thoughSeems to grab as much attension as the 360! I think i have to say its one of the best looking cars i have ever seen, i think its the colour mars red, only 24 made and only 12 left. Interior is like the ferrari, leather everything with red stitching and logo, even the dash and engine cover all done, far better than standard. Covered 49000 miles. Also interesting is its the first production car to run AP Racing brakes as standard, 330mm 4pots on front 300mm on rear...stops very well. I did get the car very cheap and is mint, but it is a cat d in 2003 it had a brand new shell all receipts stamped by DVLA. Apparently many are cat d due to the fact the body panels are so expensive, the owners club said it doesnt matter at all, i think a little better than the RSOC? Also has the phase 2 subframe a remap and carbon fibre air filter whatever! Also the steering wheel is a genuine leather Noble m12 one! Also has the phase 2 rear spoiler.

Looks lovely in red that does, how have you found it inside as read about these getting very hot inside so you have to have the aircon on all the time to help and to stop the windows from misting up

really nice car, always liked them.

you said in the other thread you bought it as it should be worth a bit of money as a future classic, why buy a modified write off? surely a standard straight car will be more desirable ?

Love these, had the pleasure of driving one a couple of weeks ago...bit of a rough example compared to yours, and I didn't push it at all as I was only insured third party, the roads were damp and not known to me and the rear tyres were 'Fullruns'

Still, a car that feels special and sounds pretty epic too, nothing else really like it! Not mega quick (my 200bhp Fiesta ST wouldn't be far off it I feel) but its just totally unique and silly, for that one has to approve .

Turning circle is truly hilarious mind, its got to be one of the least practical cars going....HMS Illustrious is probably slightly easier to park!

The interior has ruined that for me mate, not my cuppa at all... and not sure it'll be too desirable when you come to sell/break the car.

Exterior looks spot on though, prefer the red to the usual Silver of the MK1 V6.

Cheers,
Grant

The fact that 24 were made and only half even exist anymore should tell you to take it easy in the wet, let alone that its CAT D probably for that reason!

I like these but RWD in a small chassis is never a great idea.

I paid Ł6300 for my last one and it certainly wasn't a Cat D.....

Looks nice anyway, interior is a bit lairy, but the seats look spot on.

Saw a red R5 Turbo 2 today, would look good parked next to this.

TVR have run AP brakes for years! Not a huge fan to be honest, like the silliness but can't ever imagine owning one, French for a start, not really quick, poor handling and a mare' to work on!

Great spectator car though!

A lot of front-engined Renaults are a big job in terms of cambelt change. Megane Sports in particular.

Like the colour. LOVE Clio V6's... just not sure a crashed Ph1 is the one to have to be honest. Still hope you like it for the 2 weeks you will have it!

proper mini exotic in terms of experience and road presence. Awesome things. why no pic from the front phil? is it coz the ph1 have those horrid lights

I might get a ph2. Been thinking about for ages. Just wouldnt ever drive it I dont think though! but great to look at
